I don't know about BT yahoo but I can share this info with you.
Yahoo made some recent changes with alias email addresses that need to be verified.
Those of us ISP customers with a "Main" email account and one or more sub accounts have always been able to send email using one COMMON outgoing email setting. main@yourisp.com smtp.yahoo, etc....
The recent change requires sub account users to update their outgoing server to authenticate with their sub account id and password. I have successfully made this change in both Thunderbird and Outlook express and can now send email from my sub account id once again.
Outlook 2003 will not send email via BT Yahoo. Returns error 553 - address not verified and 0x 800CCC0F error?
Try turning of your antivirus for a sec and try sending your email..that error code means that your connection was dropped
