I 've just sent an email to BT chairman, am I insane ???

Ok, so that i don't sound totally hysterical, i have spent the last SEVEN days emailing, calling BT call centre, i spoke to several supervisors... nothing seems to know what is going on. What day my account is open, the next day it's close,, then open again. I get a different version every time. In the end it turned out they closed my account with NO warnings or reminders. The fact is i tried to call them to chnage my direct debit but couldn't get through anyone or if i did they said the system was down. And as i obvioulsy don't have a phone line, i had to call from my mobile phone. Anyway, even i have straight the TOTAL outstanding amount and was told my line/broadband will be reactived within 10 hours, they closed my account after i ve paid the payment! rip off or what!! And they expect me to pay until end of contracts in novembre. So I veen on a mission today and have found the chairman's email adress. Apparently he has been very helpful in the past and get things moving..we'll c

Good for you and don't give up! You should now have the attention of BT and you will get noticed!
Reply:LOL. Good for you.

In many instances you get things sorted out by going to the top.

Because those at the top are divorced from what is happening in the company. They (literally) work on a higher plane. They don't realise what experiences their customers have. If your complaint actually gets past layers of management, and they get to see it, quite often they'll see it as something different for them. A challenge.

If they say "whats this about? fix it." The whole section of the company that's being looked at by the boss will ripple, and your problem will be solved in double quick time.
Reply:they are making you pay term fees as they are closing the account and you need to pay for the remainer of the term, When or if you speak to them ask them to take the term fees off as you have made payment and set up dd they should then take them off if they don't go to watchdog.
Reply:I sent one to the CEO of TalkTalk. Charles Dunstone. He of the Carphone Warehouse. Did`nt do any good I dont think, but made me feel better
Reply:No, I think that's a perfectly good idea. They shouldn't be allowed to get away with messing people around as they do (one reason that, never mind all the recommendations about how cheap they are etc, I would only ever use them if I had NO other choices). If everyone who had a problem with them contacted the head honcho they'd clean up their act pretty swift!

(tell all your friends!)
Reply:fair play. shame it took you so long.
